Outlook Express Setup Print E-mail

Look on your desktop for Outlook Express. Do you see it? Then double click in it.

If you can't find it, try looking on your START menu under programs. Or if you you're using Windows XP look at the top left of your start menu or under All Programs. When you find it single left click on it

 


If it just started the program, go to the Tools menu and select Accounts.


Go to the Mail tab. Is the white box blank? No let's remove any accounts that are in here, its a good idea to check with your family to make sure your not removing thier important emal account.  Now click on Add, then Mail.


You will be asking you for Display Name. Whatever you type in here is what people will see when they receive an e-mail from you. Normally people put in the first and last names with capitals, small letters and spaces...BUT its up to you what you want to put in here. Once you are done press Next.


It should be asking you for your email address. Enter your email address which is This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it -- remember that is all small letters and no spaces. When you are done, press Next.


At the top it says my incoming mail server is a POP3 server. Below that in the Incoming Mail field, put your cursor in there and type in mail.prairie.ca -- all together, one word, no spaces, dots between the words.

In the Outgoing Mail field, type in the same thing, mail.prairie.ca. Press Next.


Your Account Name should be just your user name (email address less @prairie.ca), no spaces and small letters. Put your cursor in the Password field and type in the password we assigned you -- small letters, no spaces. Press Next.


Press FINISH. Close Outlook Express
